Stansted Airport has launched its most extensive programme ever of public consultation on plans for growth and development at the airport. There will be a series of 27 exhibitions that will be open to the public in local towns and villages during September and October. The focus will be on the likely environmental, social and economic effects of growth. If you would like to receive a copy of the consultation from BAA and you intend to respond to the questions asked and make comments, then you can get the consultation by downloading it from the link below, or by telephoning 0800 783 1764. The consultation closes on October 31st. Peter Wilcock, Chair of the Uttlesford Airport Advisory Panel, said: "This is the first stage of the proposals by the airport to double the current number of passengers using the airport. BAA will issue a separate programme of consultation on their plans for a second runway later this year. I would urge anyone who is interested in the development of the airport to get the consultation documents, visit the exhibitions and comment on their proposals."
